Redcliffe Private Residence, Moreton Bay, QLD

Redcliffe is a coastal suburb in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland. Often referred to as the Redcliffe Peninsula, this area extends into Moreton Bay and encompasses several other suburbs. Named by explorer Matthew Flinders, Redcliffe became Queensland’s first colony in 1824. However, it was soon abandoned in favour of establishing a new settlement in Brisbane.

Project Design Brief

The owner aimed for a simple floor design while incorporating large tiles throughout the wet areas. Specific tile colours were selected for each bathroom, but to maintain continuity, a drain was chosen that could be made to a specific length to accommodate the dimensions of each shower.

ACO's Solution

  • ShowerChannel with Tile grate
  • ACO custom manufactured the channel to the exact required length, to suit the specific shower dimension

Benefits

  • ShowerChannel with Tile grate is visually discreet and preserves the visual continuity of the shower floor.
  • Shallow V channel profile aids water flow to the outlet connection.
  • Customisable to suit shower floor dimensions.
